President Donald Trump and Democratic opponent Joe Biden will not shake hands during their presidential debate on Tuesday night.
The news came as one of the decisions made to abide by social distancing guidelines. An elbow bump was suggested as an alternative to shaking hands, but both campaigns decided that it would be far too awkward.
It was announced that Trump, Biden and moderator Chris Wallace will not be wearing masks since the two nominees are expected to stand at a safe distance at their respective podiums.
Only 75 to 80 people are able to attend the presidential debate. All participants are expected to undergo COVID-19 testing before entering the event.

Compared to previous presidential debates, there will not be any “spin-room coverage.” Instead, virtual interviews will be hosted after the debate.
The debate will be held at the Cleveland Clinic and on the campus of Case Western Reserve University.
