WASHINGTON, DC - DECEMBER 06: U.S. President Donald Trump hosts a roundtable discussion with small business owners and members of his administration in the Roosevelt Room at the White House December 06, 2019 in Washington, DC.
Former President Donald Trump called out “liberal Jews” who do not support him on his Truth Social platform.
In a Jewish New Year post, Trump captioned, “Just a quick reminder for liberal Jews who voted to destroy America and Israel Because you believed False Narratives!”
Trump’s post consists of a list of achievements for the Jewish community during his term. This list mentions the “Never Again” Education bill that aims to spread awareness of the Holocaust. Trump also cited the relocation of the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “No past president had the balls to do it before,” he said.
His caption continues: “Let’s hope you learned from your mistakes and make better choices moving forward!”

CEO of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs, Amy Spitalnick, was appalled by Trump’s post.
On a Twitter post, she wrote, “Trump marks the end of Rosh Hashana with an antisemitic post accusing Jews who voted against him of ‘destroy[ing] America and Israel.'”
Others were also outraged by Trump’s post.
The American Jewish Committee posted on Twitter, “Claiming that American Jews who did not vote for Mr. Trump voted to destroy America and Israel is deeply offensive and divisive. As we approach one year until the next election, we urge political candidates from the top to the bottom of the ballot to avoid incendiary rhetoric.”
Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-New York), who is Jewish, also posted: “Next time you attack American Jews, think twice before about doing it on one of our holiest days. Your antisemitism is loud and clear.”
