Former President Donald Trump attacked billionaire megadonor Miriam Adelson, a major contributor to his campaign, for hiring only “Republicans in Name Only.”
Republicans in Name Only, or RINOs, is an insult that is frequently used by Trump to attack Republicans who he opposes or who have denounced his campaign, such as Mitt Romney.
Recently, he used the term to criticize Adelson, the widow of casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, for hiring people Trump believed were RINOs.
These claims came from a report Trump gave to donors announcing that he was “no longer nice” following the assassination attempt against him.

Adelson received messages from Trump’s assistant, Natalie Harp, attacking her for “only hiring RINOs.”
Trump reportedly told her that her deceased husband would not have tolerated this. Sheldon Adelson had endorsed Trump during his 2016 election, donating tens of millions to his campaigns.
This attack has caused concern in the Trump campaign due to the large contributions provided by Adelson. She poured nearly $18 million in funding that went toward campaign advertising. This has caused fear that Adelson will pull back her funding.
It is rumored that this attack was encouraged by Ike Perlmutter, a Trump donor and former chairman of Marvel Entertainment.
