Trump Allies Try To Have Long-Time Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos Recalled

Conservative activists are pushing for the recall of long-time Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) by submitting a petition to the Wisconsin Elections Commission in Madison.

The effort is led by Matthew Snorek, who initiated the movement in January.

He believes Vos should be recalled because he doesn’t support removing Wisconsin election administrator Meagan Wolfe from her position.

Snorek said he wants to see “genuine electoral integrity” from those representing the people of Wisconsin and accused Vos of “obstruction of fair elections.”

Snorek gathered 7,000 signatures from voters within the district. They will now be reviewed to determine if the signatures are from qualified voters.

“The upcoming recall elections are an opportunity to affirm our values,” Snorek said.

Vos has previously reacted to Snorek’s efforts to have him removed, describing them as a “waste of time,

After the 2020 election, Republican district attorney Michael Gableman asked Vos to help decertify the Wisconsin election results that ruled in favor of Joe Biden. Vos refused, causing many within his party to withdraw their support from him.

Vos said that he doesn’t support the notion that Wolfe should be impeached based on disproven accusations of election fraud from the 2020 presidential election.

Wisconsin’s election results have been investigated several times and have been certified legitimate. All lawsuits since have ruled in favor of Biden or dismissed.
