Trump Administration Continues With Fight To Overturn Obamacare Despite Coronavirus Pandemic

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration still plans to ask the Supreme Court to overturn Obamacare, despite being in the midst of a global health crisis.

“Obamacare is a disaster, but we’ve made it barely acceptable,” Trump said.

The administration’s decision comes despite a warning from Attorney General William Barr this week about the potential political consequences of challenging the Affordable Care Act during the coronavirus pandemic.

The Supreme Court will likely hear the case in its next term that begins in October, though no arguments have been scheduled yet.
