Trump 2024 Campaign Gears Up For Launch After Midterms

All signs are pointing to former President Donald Trump launching his 2024 campaign for the White House in the weeks following the upcoming midterm elections.

He has been hinting at a possible run for months as he has held campaign-style rallies across the country. His rhetoric has also pointed to his plans to run again.

Just last month, he told a crowd in Texas, “In order to make our country successful, safe and glorious again, I will probably have to do it again.”

Those close to Trump are anticipating the former president to be up for election in 2024.

“I’m like 95% he’s going to run,” Reince Priebus, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, told the AP. “The real question is are other big challengers going to run? If President Trump runs, he will be very difficult for any Republican to defeat.”

One of Trump’s biggest challengers could be one of his former allies, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), who has seemingly modeled his brand of politics after Trump.

He out-fundraised Trump with $177 million in the first six months of the year and has risen atop Trump in a couple of different polls. Though the two publicly praised each other and said they have a “good relationship,” there have been reports over the past months of the two blasting each other in private.

If Trump does decide to launch a campaign for 2024, he will do so as a former president who was twice impeached.

He is also currently being investigated for possible election interference in Georgia and mishandling of classified White House documents. His company, the Trump Organization, is also under investigation for fradulent real estate valuations.
