The Proud Boys ‘Would Have Killed Mike Pence If Given The Chance’

The far-right Proud Boys group would have killed Mike Pence if they had had the chance, according to an FBI informant’s testimony that was read at Thursday’s January 6 public hearings.

Pence was hurried to safety within the Capitol Complex after it was breached as rioters made efforts to interrupt the certification of President Joe Biden‘s 2020 electoral college win.

“Make no mistake that the vice president’s life was in danger,” said Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-California), adding that a confidential informant from the Proud Boys told the FBI that “anyone they got their hands on they would’ve killed, including [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi.”

Former President Donald Trump‘s supporters were especially angered at Pence because they believed he could have followed lawyer John Eastman‘s unconstitutional plan to overturn the 2020 election by rejecting electors as the overseer of the joint session of Congress.
