Steve Bannon Warned Trump Opponents: ‘You Are Going To Be Investigated & Incarcerated.’ They Belive Him.

Last month, at the People’s Convention in Detroit, hosted by Turning Point Action, Steve Bannon – a close ally of former President Donald Trump and his former White House chief strategist – vowed to investigate and prosecute those who have probed Trump and his political allies.

In a nearly 10-minute speech, delivered hours before Trump and other MAGA supporters were set to speak at the three-day convention, Bannon outlined his vision for America if Trump is reelected. This included releasing prisoners from the Jan. 6 riots, issuing tax cuts and securing the border.

“He wants peace, and only a strong man can give us peace. Only a leader can give us peace. We’ve seen what a feckless hapless old man can do,” Bannon said, referring to President Joe Biden.

Bannon also declared that Inauguration Day in 2025 will be “accountability day,” asserting that the former president’s allies will “get every single receipt.”

“You are going to be investigated, prosecuted and incarcerated,” warned Bannon. “This has nothing to do with retribution. This has nothing to do with revenge. Because retribution and revenge might be another order of magnitude. This has to do with justice.”

Bannon highlighted Trump allies like Roger Stone and Rudy Giuliani, who have faced prosecution, and claimed, “They’re turning people into political prisoners and sending people to prison, and they will send every one of you in this audience to prison also.”

Concluding his speech with a MAGA rallying cry, Bannon energized the cheering audience by asking, “Are you prepared to fight? Are you prepared to give it all? Are you prepared to leave it call on the battlefield? Ladies and gentlemen, it’s very simple: Victory or Death!”

Bannon’s speech came just two weeks before he is due to report to prison after being convicted of contempt of Congress in 2022 for failing to provide documents and testimony to the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riots.

Bannon’s assertions echoed the claims of Trump and his allies following his criminal conviction in New York, arguing that the justice system and Democrats are working against the former president.

Trump has repeatedly ignored opportunities during interviews, including multiple conversations with Fox News host and friend Sean Hannity, to dial back his rhetoric and threats of retaliation against his political opponents and over criminal prosecutions.

Last month, Trump told Hannity, “Look, when this election is over, based on what they’ve done, I would have every right to go after them, and it would be easy because it’s Joe Biden.”

Like Bannon, many of Trump’s allies have supported him with aggressive responses to his criminal conviction.

In reaction to the verdict, several Republican senators, including V.P. contenders Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida) and Sen J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), signed a letter declaring they would not work with the Biden administration to pass legislation, confirm judicial nominees or increase non-security spending.

Additionally, House Judiciary Committee chairman Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) demanded that Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg and attorney Michael Colangelo testify “about the unprecedented political prosecutions of President Trump.”
