Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon claimed he is not considering a presidential run, despite speculation growing among GOP insiders that he’s seriously considering it. This comes as President Donald Trump‘s supporters are increasingly concerned about the president’s fixation on a third term—an idea Bannon has suggested, even though it would violate constitutional limits.
Bannon is undoubtedly one of the top people responsible for Trump’s shocking ascent to power. He was also jailed for contempt of Congress after refusing to cooperate with the House investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

In late February, Bannon, who served as Trump’s chief strategist during the first seven months of his presidency, took the stage at the annual Conservative Political Action Conference to a roaring reception.
“We will not back down,” he declared. “We will not surrender. We will not quit. Fight! Fight! Fight!”
Despite falling out of favor with Trump in 2017, Bannon has continued to wield considerable influence within the MAGA movement, which he played a pivotal role in shaping.
His speech sparked global controversy after he was accused of performing a Nazi salute to the audience—a claim he vehemently denies. Bannon also urged Trump to run for an unprecedented third presidential term in 2028, potentially defying constitutional limits.
