Stephen Miller, a senior adviser to President Donald Trump known for his hardline immigration policies, said Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19.
“Over the last 5 days I have been working remotely and self-isolating, testing negative every day through yesterday,” Miller said in a statement. “Today, I tested positive for COVID-19 and am in quarantine.”
He is among the latest within the White House sphere to test positive for the virus, joining the president, First Lady Melania Trump, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, senior adviser Hope Hicks, former adviser Kellyanne Conway and numerous staffers in contracting the virus.

Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, contracted the virus in May and he had helped care for her.
Katie Miller, who serves as communications director for Vice President Mike Pence, was among the earliest Trump aides to get coronavirus. Pence has consistently tested negative recently.
