A golden statue of former President Donald Trump was the talk of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) this weekend.
The statue stands six-feet-tall, wearing a suit jacket with a white shirt, red tie and American-flag shorts. He was also wearing red sandals and holding a magic wand, a reference to how former President Barack Obama once said Trump “didn’t have a magic wand” to bring back manufacturing jobs in the United States.
Tommy Zegan, creator of the sculpture, said, “he’s wearing a business suit because he’s a businessman. The red tie represents the Republican party and the red, white and blue shorts represent the fact that he’s a patriot.” The sandals are the way Zegan chose to represent that Trump was in his golden years and could be “on the beach” if he wanted to.
The statue was made in Mexico over a period of six months in the resort town of Rosarito and cost him his “life savings” of $50,000.

Zegan plans to sell it for more than $1 million, but he wants it to go in the Trump Presidental Library if he can’t sell it.
“It is museum-quality, and that’s the one I’m eventually hoping to get in the Trump library,” Zegan said, “It is literally priceless.”
William Turton, reporter at Bloomberg News, posted a video of the statue to his Twitter.
