Sen. Lindsey Graham Says His Senate Opponent Jamie Harrison Is ‘Killing Him Financially’

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) claimed he was “getting killed financially” by his Democratic opponent Jamie Harrison.

“My opponent will raise $100 million in the state of South Carolina,” Graham told Fox News. “The most money ever spent in the history of the state on a Senate race in this state was by me in 2014 when I spent $13 million.”

“I’m being killed financially. This money is because they hate my guts,” he added.

It was unclear what Graham was specifically referring to since Harrison just raised $28 million in comparison to Graham’s $29 million according to the last Federal Election Commission records.

At the end of June, Graham had a financial advantage over Harrison given his $15 million cash reserves. He noted that Harrison had managed to raise $6 million after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg‘s death.
