Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospitalized With Possible Infection

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was hospitalized on Tuesday to treat a possible infection.

“Justice Ginsburg was admitted to The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland early this morning for treatment of a possible infection,” spokeswoman Kathleen Arberg said Tuesday.

According to a press release from the court’s press officer, Ginsburg had a fever Monday night before being hospitalized and now the justice is “resting comfortably and will stay in the hospital for a few days to receive intravenous antibiotic treatment.”

In May, Ginsburg underwent endoscopic treatment for a benign gallbladder condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She participated in oral arguments from her hospital bed, still recovering from the surgery.
