Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s lawyer, has tested positive for COVID-19, Trump announced on Twitter late Sunday afternoon.
“@RudyGiuliani, by far the greatest mayor in the history of NYC, and who has been working tirelessly exposing the most corrupt election (by far!) in the history of the USA, has tested positive for the China Virus. Get better soon, Rudy, we will carry on!!!” Trump wrote.
Giuliani has been repeatedly exposed to the virus including to Trump while the president prepared for the first debate against President-elect Joe Biden earlier this September.

Giuliani, however, is known not to have contracted the virus until now.
It was neither specified whether Giuliani, 76, who is in the high-risk demographic was symptomatic nor why Trump was the one announcing the news.
