NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 26: Former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani speaks to the media at a rally of groups opposing Iranian President Ahmadinejad’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 26, 2012 in New York City. Politicians including Giuliani, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and former U.N Ambassador John Bolton spoke at the pro-democracy rally which also included Syrian pro-democracy protesters.
Rudy Giuliani has been charged by the Washington, D.C. Bar Office of Disciplinary Counsel over false statements made in court.
The charges were filed after Giuliani made many false claims about the 2020 election.
The D.C bar claimed that Giuliani violated the Pennsylvania Rules of Conduct by attempting to pursue “issues therein without a non-frivolous basis in law and fact for doing so” and participating “in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.”
The filing stated that Giuliani provided inadequate evidence for the claims of election fraud in Pennsylvania, attempting to disprove around 70,000 mail ballots.

The D.C court said Giuliani “further justified his allegations of fraud against the” defendant counties “by promising the district court that ‘statistical analysis will evidence that over 70,000 mail and other mail ballots which favor Biden were improperly counted’… but Respondent should have known the ‘evidence’ he provided relied upon false or faulty statistics and analysis.”
Giuliani also said he compiled 300 statements and affidavits proving the allegations of election fraud; however, the D.C court again stated that the claims were legally invalid.
The filing stated: “the affidavits, declarations, and statements that he provided to the district court and other bodies were (a) unsupported, (b) unrelated to [former President] Trump voters, (c) involve conduct outside the seven Defendant Counties, and (d) by their own terms were isolated incidents that could not have affected the presidential election’s results by offsetting the Biden majority of over 80,000 votes.”
