Two new acts in the House of Representatives could put President Donald Trump’s image on the U.S. $100 bill.
The Golden Age Act would replace the current face of the $100 bill, featuring Benjamin Franklin, with an image of Trump. All previously produced $100 bills showing Franklin would still be legal, but further production would exclusively use Trump’s image. The act was introduced in March by Rep. Brandon Gill (R-Texas).
The Donald J. Trump $250 Bill Act, tied to the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence signed in 2026, would create a $250 bill with Trump’s face on it. The act was introduced in February by Rep. Joe Wilson (R-South Carolina).
Both acts were referred to the House Committee on Financial Services.

Historically, the last image change made to the U.S. currency was in 1928 when Jackson replaced Cleveland on the $20 bill.
Other actions to idolize U.S. presidents typically involved renaming places or things, but none have gone as far as to do this to a president still serving in office.
Wilson expressed confidence while referring to his bill in a press release.
“President Trump is working tirelessly to fight inflation and help American families,” he said. “This achievement is deserving of currency recognition, which is why I am grateful to introduce this legislation. The most valuable bill for the most valuable president!”
Previous efforts to change U.S. bills include the Obama-era Harriet Tubman Tribute Act of 2025, which will replace Jackson with Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill. Future production of the bill is scheduled to begin in 2030.
