Republican Jewish Coalition Condemns GOP Group For Inviting White Supremacist Nick Fuentes To Speak At Conference
The Republican Jewish Coalition condemned a GOP student group for inviting a prominent white supremacist and Holocaust denier to speak at an upcoming conference.
The University of Arizona College Republicans United is a controversial conservative club that is hosting its second annual national convention on July 30 in Prescott, Arizona. The group invited Nick Fuentes, who gained a following in 2017 by hosting the podcast America First With Nicholas J. Fuentes.
Fuentes is considered an extremist, spewing ideas that oppose women’s voting rights and comparing killing Jewish people to “making cookies.” He was banned from Twitter in July 2021 for hate speech and was banned again after starting a new account following Elon Musk’s acquisition of the app.
Fuentes has been associated with many contentious political figures. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Arizona) has attended several of the podcaster’s conferences, and has also been a speaker at the university’s club. Fuentes has even dined with former President Donald Trump and rapper Kanye West, who has become known for his anti-Semitic views.
