Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) shouted in support of Donald Trump outside of a Manhattan court, as the former president was arraigned on 34 charges of falsifying business documents.
With a megaphone in hand, Greene shouted with Trump supporters for a few moments before being whisked away by her security detail. She stayed about 10 minutes.
Greene yelled at the crowd, saying, “We are here to peacefully protest against the persecution of an innocent man. Not just any innocent man, this is the former president of the United States of America.”
The conservative firebrand later gave an interview with Right Side Broadcasting following her short stint at the event.

“We were swarmed. Unbelievably swarmed,” Greene said. She said that Trump was “completely committed to fighting this injustice.”
“President Trump is joining some of the most incredible people in history being arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested; served time in prison. Jesus. Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman government,” she stated.
Other Trump-aligned politicians briefly joined Greene. Embattled Rep. George Santos (R-New York) also visited the courthouse briefly before the scheduled protest. He called the event a “media firestorm.” He stayed for only 30 minutes.
“I wanted to support the president because this is unprecedented, and this is a bad day for democracy,” the New York representative, who has faced several allegations of lying during his 2022 campaign, said. “This starts a precedent of what’s to stop the next prosecutor in two years to do the same thing to Joe Biden and moving on every four years.”
