Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia) has been fined $48,000 for repeatedly violating the House mask mandate.
House members are fined $500 for their first mask violation. Greene has violated the rule nearly 20 times.
The fines will likely be deducted from Greene’s congressional salary, which amounts to $174,000 each year.
Greene told the press on Tuesday that she plans to stand “against authoritarian Democratic mandates because I don’t want the American people to stand alone.”
