Rep. Louie Gohmert Complains It’s ‘Impossible For Republicans To Lie To FBI’ Now

Rep. Louie Gohmert R-Texas) said that Republicans are unfairly treated in D.C. because it was “impossible” for Republicans “to lie to Congress.”

“If you’re a Republican, you can’t even lie to Congress or lie to an FBI agent, or they’re coming after you,” he told Newsmax. “They’re going to bury you; they’re going to put you in the D.C. jail and terrorize and torture you and not live up to the Constitution there.”

The interview, which aired on John Bachman Now, also saw Gohmert going on a tirade about gun control after the House Judiciary Committee passed a gun-restriction package.

In the interview, Gohmert accused Democrats of attempting to end due process and force the confiscation of weapons.

“We’re going to have confiscation without representation; that’s basically what they’re proposing,” Gohmert continued. “They’ll give you a due process hearing, but you don’t get to be there, you know, and you don’t get to have anybody representing you there. It will just be the people who want to take away the guns.”

Gohmert’s rambling rant moved on to criticize transgender rights and gender reversal surgery.

“These are people who want to castrate little boys and cut off the breasts of girls, and they want to tell us how to keep children safe?” Gohmert said. “They want to divide America like Obama and Biden did and just like Biden and Harris do now… We’re supposed to have freedom in the country, and these people are going to take it away.”
