Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-New York) said she wanted “to deck” a man who harassed her, calling her his “favorite big-booty Latina,” as she walked up the steps of the Capitol on Wednesday.
She commented on the incident on Twitter shortly after it happened posting a photo of the heckler’s face on Twitter to condemn him for his actions. She also called out the officer who watched the incident happen without stepping in.
She later deleted the initial post saying, “I posted about a deeply disgusting incident that happened today on the Capitol steps, but took it down bc it’s clearly someone seeking extremist fame. It’s just a bummer to work in an institution that openly allowed this, but talking about it only invites more. Just really sad.”
She then posted a video of the incident that the harasser filmed.

“Here is a video he posted of the incident,” the Congresswoman added. “I was actually walking over to deck him because if no one will protect us then I’ll do it myself but I needed to catch a vote more than a case today.”
“She wants to kill babies but she’s still beautiful,” the right-wing heckler shouted. “You look very beautiful in that dress. You look very sexy. Look at that booty on AOC.”
“Look how sexy she looks in that dress,” he added as she continued walking away. “Whoo. I love it, AOC. Hot hot hot like a tamale.”
