Pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood failed in his challenge to unseat South Carolina GOP Chairman Drew McKissick for his position. Wood accused McKissick of “cheating” in the Saturday vote and called him a “fake Chairman.”
Since making the move from Georgia to South Carolina, Wood has been appearing at rallies in order to drum up support, including the Bikers for Trump rally, which was hosted at the Honkytonk Saloon in Ladson on May 2. Former national security advisor Michael Flynn was also in attendance, and so were hundreds of supporters.
During his speech, Wood accused McKissick of failing to fight for former President Donald Trump after his 2020 electoral defeat.
Wood claimed that while McKissick “went around celebrating how the elite establishment had done so well in South Carolina,” he, on the other hand, went to bat for Trump, who he believes won the election.

Wood said that he does not want anyone who cannot “get the election right” to serve in office. Wood clarified that, when making this statement, he was referring to Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott, and former Gov. Nikki Haley.
“South Carolina is going to demand an honest election,” Wood said. “You’re not going to be cheated again.”
McKissick has spoken out about Wood in the past, labeling him a “carpetbagging RINO (Republican In Name Only),” and saying that Wood is “so far up in bizarro land, he couldn’t find his way out with a flashlight and a map.”
