Pennsylvania GOP Senate Candidate Mehmet Oz Misspells Address On Campaign Form Filing

Pennsylvania GOP Senate candidate Dr. Mehmet Oz misspelled his address for “Dr. Oz for Senate” in the state on an official campaign form for the Federal Election Commission.

Oz, who lived in New Jersey before running for Senate in Pennsylvania, or someone on his campaign staff spelled the city “Huntington Valley” instead of “Huntingdon Valley.”

The former TV doctor has been the subject of criticism over his connection to the state after using his in-law’s residential address to register to vote, but Oz spokesperson Erin Perrine reported that Oz has been living in Pennsylvania since deciding to run for Senate.

“Dr. Oz lives in Pennsylvania, votes in Pennsylvania, and has his medical license in Pennsylvania. Dr. Oz grew up in the Greater Philadelphia region, less than 5 miles from the PA border. He went to school in Pennsylvania, met his wife and got married in Pennsylvania, and 2 of his children were born in Pennsylvania. He currently resides in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, where his wife’s family has lived for a hundred years,” Perrine said in a statement.

Oz narrowly defeated former hedge fund CEO David McCormick for the GOP nomination and will face off against Democratic candidate John Fetterman in November. Fetterman has made Oz’s residency an issue in the campaign.
