House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) is refusing to give up on Sen. Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia) and his opposition to the election reform bill House Democrats are trying to push through.
In a recent op-ed, Manchin described his views on the right to vote and how he plans to go about passing legislation that he feels will not just “benefit my party but all the people.” In the article published by Charleston Gazette-Mail, Manchin said, “the fundamental right to vote has itself become overly politicized.”
Regardless of the senator’s declarations of voting against For The People Act, Pelosi said, “I don’t give up on Joe Manchin.”
