In her weekly briefing Thursday afternoon, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-California) called on Vice President Mike Pence to enact the 25th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution which allows the removal of a president who is unfit for office.
If Pence and the president’s cabinet are unwilling to act, Pelosi said she will begin a second impeachment process in the House.
Pelosi called President Donald Trump’s inciting of his supporters Wednesday “seditious.”
The House Speaker joined a growing call for the removal of the president, as well as several resignations in Trump’s cabinet. Pelosi warned, “while it’s only 13 days left, any day can be a horror show for America.”
