Omarosa Releases New Tape Showing Lara Trump Offered Her A “Hush Money” Campaign Job [AUDIO]

Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman has released another audio tape – this one shows President Donald Trump‘s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, offering Omarosa a $15,000-a-month campaign job. Omarosa claims the job was to keep her silent after being fired by the White House in December 2017 and said that she saw it as “hush money.”

In the newest audio, Lara Trump, a senior adviser for Trump’s 2020 re-election campaign, can be heard telling Manigault Newman, “Obviously there are some things you’ve got in the back pocket to pull out… Clearly, if you come on board the campaign, like, we can’t have — we got to — everything, everybody positive, right?” Trump adds in the conversation with Manigault Newman.

In the interview with MSNBC, Manigault Newman said referred to Lara Trump, “She made it very clear if I joined this campaign that I would have to be quiet. I wouldn’t be allowed to talk to reporters. I wouldn’t be allowed to say anything against Donald Trump.” Asked if she saw it as “hush money,” Manigault Newman responded, “Absolutely.”

In other excerpts of the audio, Lara Trump explained the possible salary.

“All the money that we raise and that pays salaries is directly from donors, small-dollar donors for the most part. So, I know you, you were making 179 at the White House. And I think we can work something out where we keep you right along those lines,” Trump continues. “Specifically, let me see, I haven’t even added up the numbers. But we were talking about, like, 15K a month. Let me see what that adds up to. Times 12. Yeah. So that’s $180,000. Does that sound like a fair deal for you?” Trump is heard saying.

Laura Trump said on Thursday the tape is a “fraud.” “We still wanted her on our team because we cared so much about her personally. That’s why I reached out to offer her a position with the 2020 Trump Campaign before we knew anything about the gross violations of ethics and integrity during her White House tenure,” Lara Trump said in a statement. She continued, firing back at Omarosa, “I am absolutely shocked and saddened by her betrayal and violation on a deeply personal level,” Trump added. “I hope it’s all worth it for you, Omarosa, because some things you just can’t put a price on.”

At the end of the interview with MSNBC, Manigault Newman said combatively that “Donald Trump has met his match.”

“Every time the Trump people challenge me, I bring the receipts,” she said, adding that she would release more audio tapes “if I need to.” She continued, “I’ll do what I have to do to protect myself.”
