Obama Criticizes Trump’s Rollback Vehicle Emissions Standards

Former President Barack Obama criticized current President Donald Trump after the Trump Administration announced it would roll back an Obama Administration fuel standards set to combat the climate crisis, saying “have to demand better” of their leaders.

Obama rarely publicly criticizes his successor, but similarly did criticize Trump three years ago after he decided to leave the Paris Agreement. At the time, Obama said the devision was adding the United States to “a small handful of nations that reject the future.”
