One America News Network (OAN) fired long-time producer Marty Golingan after he admitted in an interview that a majority of staff don’t believe the election fraud stories often seen on the network. OAN has since fired Golingan, as confirmed on his social media.
“The majority of people did not believe the voter fraud claims being run on the air,” Goligan said. Goligan and several other former and current staff for OAN were interviewed for a comprehensive report on the network, but Goligan is the only member used their real name.
Goligan recalled seeing a flag with their network’s logo being waved during the Capitol insurrection. “I was like, ok, that’s not good. That’s what happens when people listen to us,” Goligan told the New York Times. “I’ve given up my journalistic integrity already, and to be fired, that would make me feel good. I would wear it like a badge of honor.”
