Trump Blasts ‘Fox And Friends’ For Coverage Of Poll Numbers, Says They’ve ‘Gone To Dark Side’
After Fox and Friends reported on low poll numbers for former President Donald Trump, he took to social media to criticize the show and blasted them for going to the “dark side.”
The recent mudslinging from Trump comes as he has floated a possible run for reelection in 2024.
Trump has announced in the past week that he would be making a big announcement sometime in November but is unsure whether to declare before or after the 2022 midterm elections.
“@foxandfriends just really botched my poll numbers, no doubt on purpose,” Trump wrote. “That show has been terrible — gone to the ‘dark side.’ They quickly quote the big Turning Point Poll victory of almost 60 points over the number two Republican, and then hammer me with outliers.”

Trump was referencing a Turning Point USA poll that showed Trump ahead of many other Republican candidates. Though, as Fox and Friends host Steve Doocy pointed out, the poll has a higher number of younger voters.
Other recent polls have shown Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Florida) closing fast on Trump.
“That is a little different than a couple of other polls we’ve seen over the past couple of weeks,” Doocy said, “So it’s like the young people who are activists at that [Turning Point] event like the former president, but looking at these other polls, different answer.”
The hosts also noted that DeSantis is polling better in key states, such as New Hampshire and Michigan.
The commentary seems to be a preview of the DeSantis-Trump war to come.
