Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former President Donald Trump adviser and fiancé of his son, Donald Trump Jr., met with the House select committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack after being subpoenaed. She previously met with the committee in February voluntarily in a virtual meeting but left in the middle after certain lawmakers that Guilfoyle had not been expecting appeared on the call.
Guilfoyle reportedly met with the ex-President on the morning of January 6 and also had a role in organizing the rally on the White House Ellipse that morning. Reports say that she was in charge of raising funds and directly interacting with those running the rally. She also participated as a guest speaker. January 6 committee chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Mississippi) cited these instances in last month’s subpoena.
The committee confirmed that they received most of the documents they had been seeking from Guilfoyle.
The committee has heard from others in Trump’s close inner circles such as Stephen Miller, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in recent weeks. They participated in virtual interviews.
