Roger Stone, a staunch Trump ally, said a day before the election that there was no use in waiting for the ballots to be counted to reject the results, a new documentary from a Danish film crew shows.
“F**k the voting, let’s get right to the violence,” Stone said in footage from the documentary.
“Shoot to kill. See an Antifa, shoot to kill,” he later added.

Later, he clarified that he was only joking.
“I am of course only kidding,” he told The Washington Post. “We renounce violence completely. We totally renounce violence. The left is the only ones who engage in violence.”
The filmmakers were subpoenaed by House select committee investigating the events surrounding the January 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol around two months ago. They ended up providing eight minutes of footage.
“Stone, Trump, all these people, they say beforehand what they’re going to do, but we just have a very difficult time really believing they’re actually going to do it because it’s so outrageous,” Christopher Guldbrandsen, who is the director and producer of the film titled A Storm Foretold, said during an appearance on CNN.
“I mean, he’s joking, or is he joking?” the filmmaker added.
Guldbrandsen went on to say that he doesn’t believe the film is able to tie Stone to the White House and white extremist groups like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers who played a central role in leading the Capitol rots.
Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Maryland), who serves on the committee, hinted that the footage may come up in the next public hearing.
“He’s someone who I think saw where things were going,” Raskin told reporters of Stone.
