New $200M, Taxpayer-Funded Homeland Security Department Ad Campaign Stars Kristi Noem & Thanks Donald Trump

The Department of Homeland Security launched a new ad campaign about migrants. In the ad, DHS Director Kristi Noem warns illegal immigrants to “leave now.” DHS said there are two versions of the ad—one is set to run domestically, and the other is set to run internationally.

The department budgeted as much as $200 million for the new ad campaign warning migrants in the country illegally that “we will find you and deport you.” Noem announced the campaign, which includes TV, radio and digital spots. The advertising campaign is also slated for what DHS called “hyper-targeted” transmission through social media and text messaging.

The initial ad for domestic use shows Noem praising President Donald Trump for “securing the border” before telling migrants that “we will hunt you down” for breaking laws. On behalf of the president, Noem said, “If you are here illegally, we will find you and deport you. You will never return. But if you leave now, you may have an opportunity to return and enjoy our freedom and live the American Dream.”

“If you are a criminal alien considering entering America illegally, don’t even think about it. If you come here and break our laws, we will hunt you down. Criminals are not welcome in the United States.”

The expensive ad buy featuring Noem, who has been coined the “ICE Barbie” of MAGA by various left-wing media outlets, comes as the Trump administration has directed Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to slash billions of dollars in wasteful government spending, in part by reducing the federal workforce.

Noem also issued an internal order just last week requesting that DHS employees be subjected to a new question on their polygraph test. Staffers will be questioned whether they have had unauthorized communications with media or nonprofit organizations. Noem’s efforts are an attempt to crack down on leaks coming from her department.
