MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Banned From Twitter After Spreading Conspiracy Theories

Twitter has finalized a permanent ban for Mike Lindell, CEO of MyPillow.

Following the banning of former President Donald Trump, Lindell regularly peddled the former president’s unsubstantiated voter fraud claims on his account. “This account was suspended for repeated violations of our civic integrity policy,” a Twitter representative said in a statement about Lindell’s account.

Lindell’s ban is one of several made by Twitter as well as Facebook in an apparent crackdown against false information on their sites.

From his Twitter account, Lindell alleged that Dominion and Smartmatic voting systems rigged the presidential election in favor of Joe Biden. Dominion has already filed suit against Trump lawyers Sidney Powell and Rudy Giuliani for similar remarks. A cease and desist order was sent to Lindell by the company last week. When asked if he expected to be sued, Lindell told the New York Times: “I would really welcome them to sue me because I have all the evidence against them.”

Lindell has never shown meaningful evidence of widespread voter fraud.
