Musk Apologizes To Trump For X Outburst Linking Him To Jeffrey Epstein
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has apologized for his public falling out with President Donald Trump. During their social media war last week, Musk made damaging remarks about Trump as well as opposition to the GOP’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
On Wednesday, Musk expressed remorse for his comments toward the president on his social media platform, X, “I regret some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They went too far.”
In the last few days, Musk has begun to backtrack on his statements about the president, as well as deleting the most damaging posts against him. So far, Musk has deleted a thread of posts he made on X in which he stated that Trump was in the files of sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Musk also deleted a post showing his support for Trump’s impeachment and that Trump should be replaced with Vice President JD Vance.
Musk was a key backer of Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign. He supported the campaign with over $250 million. Once Trump was re-elected, he appeared many times at the president’s side and in the Oval Office. Musk also became the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where he was responsible for cutting funding for numerous organizations and agencies.
