NEW YORK, NY - SEPTEMBER 08: MSNBC hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski present an award onstage during the Daily Front Row's Fashion Media Awards at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown on September 8, 2017 in New York City.
MSNBC’s Morning Joe hosts Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski and Willie Geist mocked former President Donald Trump’s LIV golf tournament hosted at his Bedminister golf course in New Jersey.
Trump has been keen on boasting crowd sizes and poll numbers in the past. Even during his inauguration, Trump falsely claimed that his inauguration was the largest in recorded history, with over 1.5 million attendees. However, according to experts, the number was closer to 300,000 to 600,000 – a fraction of the size that Obama attracted.
In the case of the recent Tournament hosted near the burial site of his first wife, Ivana Trump, the former president’s crowd results were also lacking – even with tickets reportedly sold for around $1.
“For all the focus on the tournament that was hosted by a former president obsessed with crowd sizes, there were — oh my god, look at that,” Brzezinski quoted. “Oh my god, there’s no crowd.”

“It’s kind of sad,” Scarborough replied to his co-host. “It kind of looks like some of the shots on the site of the mall during the inauguration.”
Brzezinski continued: “Is that a rehearsal? There was literally nobody in attendance compared to the draw for PGA events.”
