More Top Staff Of Sen. John Fetterman Resign Amid Reports Of ‘Erratic Behavior’

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pennsylvania) has had more top staff departures. Last week, Fetterman’s chief of staff, Krysta Sinclair Juris, left her position. Replacing Juris is Cabelle St. John, Fetterman’s deputy chief of staff, senior advisor and scheduling director.

Fetterman issued a statement that thanked Juris for her time as chief of staff and as a member of his team.

In the past year and a half, Fetterman’s former chief of staff, Adam Jentleson, and several communications assistants and a legislative director have departed from his office. In the last few months, two more members of staff have parted ways with Fetterman.

Both former and current staff of Fetterman have voiced their worries about Fetterman’s mental health. Fetterman previously responded to a New York magazine article about staff who were concerned about his health.

In a conversation on June 2 with Sen. Dave McCormick (R-Pennsylvania), Fetterman attributed his missed votes to time spent traveling to see his three young children. Fetterman stated that the missed votes were a choice that he made rather than a result of any health issues.

Fetterman stated that he had been present for 90% of Senate votes. But records show that he missed more votes than nearly every other senator and has often missed committee hearings, meetings and lunches with colleagues. He has faced criticism over not seeming to take his job seriously.

In addition to staff members being worried about Fetterman’s health, some former staff members were exasperated with his strong support for Israel and recent meetings with President Donald Trump.
