Missouri GOP Senate Candidate Eric Greitens Poses With Assault Weapon Hunting For ‘RINOs’ In Ad

Missouri Republican Senate candidate Eric Greitens recently posted a new campaign ad where he asks the audience to hunt for “RINOS” as a team of heavily armed men storm a house.

“Today, we’re going RINO hunting,” Greitens said in the ad.

The “RINO” stands for “Republican In Name Only.”

“The RINO feeds on corruption and is marked by the stripes of cowardice,” Greitens continued. “Get a RINO hunting permit. There’s no bagging limit, no tagging limit, and it doesn’t expire until we save our country.”

Greitens’ campaign posted the video to both Facebook and Twitter. After the first initial hours of publication, the ad was marked as breaking the guidelines of both platforms.

A label on the post read, “This Tweet violated the Twitter Rules about abusive behavior.”

However, the post remained on Twitter after the post was ruled as being in the public interest.

The ad on Facebook was removed, and Greitens went on the app to retaliate against the platform with a new post stating, “Facebook CENSORED our new ad calling out the weak RINOs.”

In Greitens’ successful bid for Missouri governor, he ran an ad featuring him firing a large machine gun while a voiceover said America was under attack from “Obama’s Democrat Machine.”

The violent ad comes at a time when political violence has been on the rise.

In 2020, an armed group of right-wing insurgents planned to kidnap and assassinate Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D). There was also evidence that the paramilitary group planned to send package bombs to elected officials.

Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Illinois) and his wife recently received a death threat sent to his wife following his decision to be a part of the January 6. Committee.

Kinzinger posted the letter to Twitter, criticizing “cowardly” GOP leaders.

The letter stated, “Therefore, although it may take time, [Kinzinger] will be executed.”
