Mike Pence Hints At 2024 Run Against His Former Boss

Former Vice President Mike Pence signaled a bid for the White House in 2024 during a speech in South Carolina last week, creating even more distance between himself and Donald Trump.

He voiced his ideas for moving forward following the Supreme Court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade in front of a pro-life crowd.

Though he has not formally declared his candidacy, sources close to him say that he is preparing the foundation should he decide to run.

Pence has already thrown his support behind GOP candidates opposing Trump-backed Republicans and has spent time in Washington, D.C., meeting with key conservatives who are members of the Republican Study Committee that he once headed.

Pence is scheduled to speak in D.C. on Tuesday at the “American First Agenda Summit,” where he is expected to urge his party to look ahead to the future, which is seen as a criticism of Trump and his efforts to continue to push 2020 election fraud theories.

“Some people may choose to focus on the past – but I believe conservatives must focus on the future,” Pence will say. “If we do, we won’t just win the next election, we will change the course of American history for generations.”

Pence was embroiled in Trump and attorney John Eastman‘s effort to overturn the 2020 election results. The former president and Eastman pressured Pence to reject certain electors from swing states to keep Trump in the White House. Pence refused to go along with the key part of their plan.
