Michael Flynn Pledges Support For QAnon Conspiracy On July 4

Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn pledged his support on July 4 to QAnon, a growing conspiracy theory suggested that forces within the White House are working to undermine President Donald Trump.

Flynn posted a video of he and five people taking an oath and added #TakeTheOath to his Twitter bio.

The oath includes the QAnon slogan “Where we go one, we go all,” which refers to “an oath to become ‘digital soldiers’ to defend the Constitution,” according to The Daily Beast.

Flynn actually coined the term “digital soldiers” years ago, in the context of U.S. cyberwar capabilities. But QAnon conspiracists, who also believe liberals are running an underground child sex trafficking ring, believe Flynn was actually referring to them.

On Saturday, Oregon Republican Senate nominee Joe Rae Perkins posted a video of herself taking the oath to become a “digital soldier.”

Although Flynn has remained publicly silent on the issue, his conviction for lying to the FBI about his ties to Russia, has become a matter of fixation for the deep state conspiracists.

Many QAnon fans have added three star-emojis to their Twitter handles, acknowledging Flynn’s status as a retired three-star general, Sommer reported.
