Michael Cohen’s Early Prison Release Over Coronavirus Concerns Revoked

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump‘s former attorney, has lost the privilege to leave his prison cell early.

Initially scheduled to be released in November 2021, Cohen was supposed to serve out the rest of his jail time in home confinement.

The special release was granted last month due to COVID-19 cases among his inmates and staff;

The reason for the new decision to revoke his early release is unknown. Other prisoners have also reportedly lost their privilege of home confinement.

Cohen is serving a three-year sentence at the federal prison in Otisville, New York. In 2018, Cohen pleaded guilty to several charges of tax evasion, campaign-finance violations and lying to Congress.

All the charges are from his actions during the presidential campaign in 2016 when he paid hush money to porn star Stormi Daniels, who claimed to have an affair with Trump.

Cohen has been writing an explosive tell-all book about Trump while spending time behind bars, which he plans to release it before the election this year.

“He told me he’s been writing a book and he’s pissed. He told me he is going to spill the beans. What has he got to lose now?” said Tom Arnold, a Hollywood actor who has been keeping in touch with Cohen.

In response, lawyers from the Trump Organization pressured Cohen to cease working on his “tell-all book” project about the president.
