President Donald Trump‘s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been writing an explosive tell-all book about his former client while spending time behind bars.

He reportedly plans on releasing it before the November election.

Actor Tom Arnold, who has stayed in contact with Cohen during his time behind bars, told Daily Beast about Cohen’s underlying motive behind this.

“It’s like Jaws—you don’t see Jaws very much, but you hear the music, and for Trump he knows Michael is coming and Trump better hear the Jaws music,” Arnold said. “He told me he’s been writing a book and he’s pissed. He told me he is going to spill the beans. What has he got to lose now?”

Cohen is currently serving a three-year sentence for financial crimes during the 2016 election campaign – the illegal hush-money payments to a porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal.

Trump claimed that he neither had affairs with them nor directed Cohen to buy their silence.

Trump tweeted in March 2019 after learning about Cohen writing a book on him.

“Wow, just revealed that Michael Cohen wrote a ‘love letter to Trump’ manuscript for a new book that he was pushing. Written and submitted long after Charlottesville and Helsinki, his phony reasons for going rogue. Book is exact opposite of his fake testimony, which now is a lie!” he said.

Cohen, initially scheduled to be released in November 2021, is being released early from prison due to the COVID 19 cases among his inmates and staff.

After spending 14 days in quarantine, he will serve the rest of his sentence at home.
