Melania Trump Bitter About Jill Biden After Leaving The White House

Unlike her husband Donald Trump who paid close attention to the impeachment proceedings in D.C., Melania Trump has seemingly left Washington behind according to a source familiar with the former first lady.

“She goes to the spa, has lunch, goes to the spa, again, and has dinner with Donald on the patio,” said the source familiar with Melania’s Mar-A-Lago schedule told Politico. “Rinse and repeat. Every day.”

Since leaving the White House, Melania has also shown a growing bitterness toward her husband Donald according to several people close to the Trumps. While Melania entered the White House as “the most liked Trump” according to approval polls, the former first lady left office with one of the lowest ratings for a first lady in modern history. Many attribute her low rating to her response to the Capitol riots. Melania did not condemn the violence during the Capitol insurrection until January 11, five days after the attack.

“She could see how it was going to go for her,” said a former White House official to CNN. “If Melania were to condemn the violence before her own husband meaningfully did, she risked the ire of Trump fans. And by staying silent, the first lady appeared complicit.”

After the insurrection “happened, she knew there was nothing to gain for her by speaking out or doing something – so she didn’t do anything,” the White House official continued.

After leaving the White House, Melania reportedly has been “bitter and chilly” toward her husband, disappointed that he tore down her reputation with his own. Those close to Melania, however, say a more potent target for her bitterness is her successor, First Lady Jill Biden.

Jill Biden has already spoken at seven events since January on ranging topics of personal importance from cancer prevention, military family support, health care and expanding community college access and support for educators. She also has been featured in People magazine and Parenting Magazine. Melania spent her first five months as first lady in her private residence in New York. Her cited reasoning was to allow her son Barron Trump to finish his school year, but it was later revealed that she wanted a better pre-nup from the ex president.

To add further contrast between the two first ladies, in her four years as first lady Melania never did an interview with a national publication.

Melania has indicated to staff currently that she believes her press outreach could have been better had her staff been more accommodating.
