Mark Meadows Removed From North Carolina Voter Roll After Providing False Information

Trump administration Chief of Staff Mark Meadows was removed from the North Carolina voter roll on Monday, according to the State Board of Elections.

Meadows is currently under investigation for voter fraud.

North Carolina opened a probe into Meadows “after documentation indicated he lived in Virginia and last voted in the 2021 election there,” according to Patrick Gannon, a spokesperson for the state Board of Elections.

The Meadows’ voting practices came under scrutiny when reporters found records showing he had registered to vote in the 2020 election under a mobile home address he had never lived at, or allegedly even set foot in. During the time he listed the Scaly Mountain, North Carolina address, he was serving as Trump’s chief of staff in Washington, D.C.

Meadows’ wife Debra also signed multiple 2020 voter forms citing the mobile home address in the designated “where you physically live” box. Debra Meadows is not under investigation as of Thursday afternoon.

“We are early into the investigation,” said Anjanette Grube, the North Carolina State Board of Election’s public information director late last month. “As the investigation continues, information will be shared with the prosecutor who will make a determination as to whether any additional persons could be subject to the investigation.”
