Manhattan DA Convenes 2nd Grand Jury On Trump Organization’s Financial Practices

Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus R. Vance Jr. (D) has convened a second long-term grand jury to hear evidence about the Trump Organization’s financial practices.

The jury will meet three days a week for the next six months. The jury is expected to hear evidence about how the former President’s company valued its assets.

Vance Jr. and New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) are reportedly working closely together on this matter, says a source familiar with the investigation.

Earlier this year, a different grand jury returned felony indictments against Trump’s longtime chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, who has since pled not guilty.

Nonetheless, the second grand jury, convened by Vance Jr., does not appear to be concerned with the charges against Weisselberg.

In fact, the jury’s term could bleed over into Vance’s successor Alvin Bragg‘s term.

Vance has not yet commented publicly about the jury’s investigation. Bragg has also declined to comment.
