Liberal Group Demand Justice Runs Ads For Supreme Court Pick Ketanji Brown Jackson

Demand Justice, a left-leaning advocacy group, is supporting Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson‘s nomination to the Supreme Court by launching a million dollar ad to support her confirmation.

Demand Justice wants to restore what they say is “ideological balance” to American courts by supporting liberal judicial nominees. The message of their ad says “when you have one of the most qualified Supreme Court nominees ever, there’s only one thing to do: confirm her.”

The ad shows GOP senators who voted for Jackson’s previous nomination – Sens. Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lindsey Graham (R-South Carolina) and Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska). Former House Speaker Paul Ryan, who is a relative of Jackson’s husband, even praised her on Twitter.

The ad will run on cable in Washington D.C. and nationally. Jackson is the first black woman ever nominated to the nation’s highest court.
