Kyle Rittenhouse Says He Supports Black Lives Matter

Acquitted Kenosha, Wisconsin shooter Kyle Rittenhouse revealed to Fox News host Tucker Carlson that he supports the Black Lives Matter movement.

“This case has nothing to do with race. It never had anything to do with race. It had to do with the right to self-defense,” Rittenhouse said in an interview with Carlson that will air on Monday’s edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight.

“I’m not a racist person. I support the BLM movement. I support peacefully demonstrating. I believe there needs to be change,” said Rittenhouse, who claimed to be a victim of malicious prosecution.

“I believe there’s a lot of prosecutorial misconduct, not just in my case but in other cases,” Rittenhouse said. “It’s just amazing to see how much a prosecutor can take advantage of somebody.”

Watch below:

Last Friday, following four days of deliberations, the nearly all-white jury found Rittenhouse not guilty of five felony indictments of first-degree reckless homicide/use of a dangerous weapon in the death of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, first-degree recklessly endangering safety/use of a dangerous weapon, first-degree intentional homicide/use of a dangerous weapon in the death of Anthony Huber, 26, attempted first-degree intentional homicide/use of a dangerous weapon in the shooting of Gaige Grosskreutz, 27, and first-degree recklessly endangering society/use of a dangerous weapon.

Former President Donald Trump congratulated Rittenhouse on his acquittal.

Throughout the trial, Rittenhouse and his defense counsel maintained that he acted in self-defense when he fatally shot two demonstrators and injured a third during an anti-police brutality protest on August 28, 2020.

His acquittal has become fodder for gun-rights enthusiasts. Carlson, as well as other conservative voices at Fox and other right-wing media outlets, have lauded Rittenhouse as a hero for traveling to another state, obtaining a gun, and showing up to a protest.
