Kushner Replaces Trump Campaign COO Michael Glassner After Tulsa Rally Fiasco

White House senior adviser Jared Kushner has shaken up in President Donald Trump‘s reelection campaign following the Tulsa rally fiasco.

Michael Glassner was dismissed as a chief operating officer of the reelection. The position will be replaced by Jeff DeWit, who took the same role back in 2016.

Glassner was blamed for Trump’s failed rally at Tulsa, where the attendance was significantly lower than what Trump had expected.

Campaign spokesperson Tim Murtaugh claimed that the decision had nothing to do with the Tulsa rally and that Glassner is merely taking a different role.

“Michael Glassner is moving into the long-term role of navigating the many legal courses we face, including suits against major media outlets, some of which will likely extend beyond the end of the campaign,” Murtaugh said. “He is one of the founding members of Team Trump, and his dedication to the success of the president is unmatched.”

According to the source from Axios, a person familiar with the shake-up claimed that Glassner is wrongfully blamed for the Tulsa rally humiliation.

“Michael didn’t really make many mistakes,” the source said. “He did what he always did, and it just didn’t work post-COVID.” “I think he knew he was going to take the punishment for this.”
