White House senior advisor Jared Kushner lauded the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic on a segment of Fox News & Friends calling it a “great success story,” on Wednesday. Kushner, who is President Donald Trump‘s son-in-law, applauded the administration at the same time as the number of confirmed cases in the U.S. climbed to one million.
“The federal government rose to the challenge, and this is a great success story. And I think that that’s really, you know, what needs to be told,” Kushner said.
Trump had appointed Kushner as an advisor to manage the distribution of medical supplies to states swamped with coronavirus cases.
On the segment, Kushner shared the White House’s federal blueprint to return to “normal” by June. He also announced a nationwide goal “[of being] really rocking again” by July. “May will be a transition month,” he added. “We’ve done more tests than any other country in the world, so we’ve got to be doing a lot of things right.”
