James Carville, a veteran political consultant who worked on Bill Clinton‘s successful presidential campaigns, predicted that President Donald Trump’s support and agenda would soon lose public support.
Carville told Dan Abrams on his podcast that he believes the administration will collapse in the public’s opinion in less than 30 days. He said polls found support from voters under 30 went from 50% to 39% approval of Trump in two weeks.
New polls show voters disapprove of how Trump is handling the economy. “This is the lowest approval, not even close, that any president has ever had at a comparable time,” said Carville.
Carville also suggested that Elon Musk will be a major drag on the president. “Musk will turn out more Democrats than Obama could, and I understand the gravity of that statement, but if he keeps going, that’s what’s going to happen,” he added. “I was privy to some data that was in a very critical state, and the Musk stuff is like nothing I’ve ever seen in the history of polling. Like, nothing. And we’re a month into the game.”
