Kevin McCarthy Meets With Trump At Mar-A-Lago After Saying EX President ‘Bears Responsibility’ For Capitol Riots (Photo: Instagram)
On Wednesday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-California) claimed he did not know what QAnon is in a conversation with reporters regarding Majorie Taylor Greene (R-Georgia).
“I think it would be helpful if you could hear exactly what she told all of us,” McCarthy said. “Denouncing Q-on, I don’t know if I say it right, I don’t even know what it is – any from the shootings, she said she knew nothing about lasers, all of the different things that have been brought up about her.”
QAnon is a conspiracy theory, some also refer to it as a cult, that falsely claims a Satanic, cannibalistic, pedophilic political clique is plotting against former United States President Donald Trump.
Though McCarthy claims to have no prior knowledge of what QAnon is, he made a statement about QAnon in an interview with Fox News’ Shannon Bream. “Let me be very clear,” he said. “There is no place for QAnon in the Republican Party. I do not support it and the candidate you talked about has denounced it.”
